Evolve Event Production was founded with a clear purpose: to raise the
bar for technical production in Wagga Wagga and the surrounding region.
There are plenty of people doing good work locally — but what we aim to
bring is consistency, care, and a level of detail that ensures every
event is delivered cleanly and professionally. Evolve is about doing
things properly, communicating clearly, and creating technical setups
that just work — so your event can shine.
The business is led by Pete Barton, who started his journey in the
industry back in 2008. After learning the ropes at Wagga Wagga Civic
Theatre, he moved to Canberra to work with Eclipse Lighting and Sound, a
well-established production company with a strong presence across the
east coast. It was there he gained experience across all aspects of live
events: mixing musical theatre, designing audio systems, managing
load-ins and crews, and delivering shows from Melbourne to Brisbane.
Over the years, Pete has worked on musical theatre, outdoor concerts,
major festivals, and small-to-large-scale corporate events — often as a
monitor engineer, production manager, or technical director.
That hands-on experience has shaped Evolve’s approach today. We’re
relaxed and approachable, but when it’s showtime — we focus and get the
job done right. Our sweet spot is delivering medium-to-large corporate
events, and managing indoor/outdoor concerts by sourcing the right
equipment and building the right team for each show. We don’t
overpromise or rush growth. Instead, we’re investing steadily in the
right gear, building a solid foundation, and creating a long-term
pathway to becoming a trusted leader in the regional production scene.
We believe every event deserves the right people behind it. That’s why
we work with a growing network of trusted professionals and bring in the
right crew for each job — not just whoever’s available. Whether it’s a
small show or a full-scale production, we build teams based on fit,
